Xiaomi Is Reportedly Working On A New Back Tap Gesture Feature – Like Apple And Google

According to the latest report from the below source – Xiaomi is working on a ” back tap gesture” feature and will probably get to see it with MIUI 12. A XDA tipster kacskrz spotted the code for this new feature in the latest beta build.

A few months back, a report came which discovered that Google is working on a new tap gesture for the pixel phones. Lately, Apple rolled out the feature in talks with iOS 14 beta.

With just double or triple tap on the back of the device you’d be able to toggle a slew of things – including toggling the flashlight, bringing down the notifications shade, taking a screenshot, and opening Google Assistant, to name but a few.

The tipster was able to get the evidence – the depicted pictures of the settings menu for these gestures.

As you can see there are only 5 options, but this is far from finished. We hope by the time it reaches us it will get more actions.

Currently, there are no words on when we will get to see this feature. But if the reports are to be believed we will hopefully see it soon. What do you folks think of this new upcoming feature? Do share your views via comments below!
