Asus ZenFone 6/6Z Rolling Out With A New Firmware Update – Brings VoWiFi And March Security Update

ASUS has started pushing out a new firmware update for the Zenfone 6 (known as Asus 6Z in India). The update is arriving in with version number 17.1810.2003.144 and is rolling over-the-air.

The new update brings Android Security Patch for the month of March 2020 with it. Alongside, it also enables VoWiFi for Reliance Jio users in India and Tele2 customers in Sweden. The latter also get VoLTE.

Moreover, the new update enhances the overall stability of the system and now you will also see a pop-up when third-party apps running in the background request front camera access.

As we mentioned above, the update is rolling out in stages so it will take time to reach every unit. Those who are impatient can head over to the Setting’s menu of your perspective devices to manually check for the update.

Reminder

The update weighs in at around 95MB in size and is rolling out for the Indian, European and Global units. Before downloading the update make sure you take the back of your files and make sure your device is charged up to 50 percent.
