vivo, today at an event in China officially announced the vivo NEX 3S 5G smartphone. The latest flagship device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with either 8gigs of RAM or 12gigs of RAM. Storage configuration includes the option to choose from 128GB / 256GB / 512GB (UFS 3.1).
The front panel flaunts a 6.89″ Full HD+ 18.8:9 E3 AMOLED display with 1080 X 2256 pixels resolution. There’s no notch or punch hole for the rear camera. It houses inside the slider – a 16MP unit with f/2.09 aperture. The rear panel has the triple camera setup – 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8, 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, 13MP telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom with f/2.46 aperture.
Android 10 comes pre-installed out of the box on top of the Funtouch OS 10. Connectivity option for this device includes 5G NSA & SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 5.8GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC.
To keep the lights of the device on the company has embedded a 4,500mAh of battery with 44W ultra-fast charging.
Price & Availability
The all-new vivo NEX 3S 5G will be available in Black, Blue, and Red color options. As far as the pricing goes, the 8GB/256GB variant will cost at 4998 yuan (which according to the latest transaction rates translates into US$ 719 / Rs. 53,440 approx.) and the 12GB/512GB variant will set you back at 5298 yuan (US$ 762 / Rs. 56,545 approx.). The device is expected to go on sale from March 14 in China. No words about the wider availability of the device.
