Realme – today at an event in India officially announced the highly-awaited Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Initially, the duo Realme 6 was supposed to be unveiled at a grand event at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India, but it due to the outbreak of Coronavirus it was scaled down.
The event still happened at the schedule palace, though without any attendees. And now both the new Realme handsets are here.
The new devices bring significant upgrades over their predecessors – you’ll see new chipsets, 30W fast-charging, 90Hz displays, new chipsets, 64MP quad-cameras and much more.
The all-new Realme 6 smartphone is equipped with the 6.5-inch LCD panel – same size as that of the predecessor – but with upgraded resolution (FullHD+). Moreover, the new one comes with the 90Hz refresh rate.
As you can see in the depicted pictures, the display has a punch hole that houses for the 16MP selfie sensor (1/3.1″ sensor) with F/2.0. The glass is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3.
The rear panel of the unit houses for the quad-camera setup with 64MP main sensor (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor), 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide unit, 2MP dedicated macro shooter and a 2MP B&W auxiliary unit for enhancing the portrait shots.
This is the first Realme smartphone to be fueled with Mediatek’s gaming-oriented G90T chipset. The new 12nm processor brings an octa-core CPU with two 2.0GHz Cortex A76 big cores and six 2GHz Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores. The chipset is backed by the Mali-G76 MC4 graphic processor.
Memory section for the unit includes 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM option and 64GB/128GB UFS2.1 storage variants to choose from. You also get a dedicated microSD slot alongside the dual-SIM slots.
To keep the lights of the Realme 6 on, the company has embedded a 4,300mAh of battery which comes with 30W fast-charger. Thanks to that, the device will be fully charged in one hour.
Realme 6 Pro
The pro-variant of the new Realme 6 powers the new Snapdragon 720G chipset (8nm). It’s an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2.3GHz (Kryo 465 CPU), is backed by an Adreno 618 GPU and either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
The front panel sports a 6.6″ LCD panel (with 90Hz refresh rate) and FullHD+ resolution. This higher variant also has a pill-shaped punch hole but this one hosts for two selfie cameras. Those houses for the 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX471 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 105-degree field of view.
This one also has the quad-camera setup on the rear side with the main 64MP sensor. Accompanied by a 12MP f/2.5 telephoto sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle snapper, and 2MP macro snapper. This also supports for UIS and UIS Max Video Stabilization.
Interestingly, this variant also has the 4,300mAh of battery with support for 30W fast charging.
The newly-launched Realme duo comes with Android 10 pre-installed out of the box on top of Realme UI. The pro variant supports NavIC – India’s own satellite navigation system.
