Sony today at an online event announced the long-awaited Xperia 1 II flagship-smartphone. The device name reads Xperia One Mark Two, comes with the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, a revamped camera, OLED panel, and a decent battery pack up.

Display
Sony cancels the MWC 2020 event and chose to announce the new flagship smartphone in an online event. The new smartphone dubbed as the Xperia 1 II, flaunts a 6.5” 4K HDR OLED panel with the now-familiar 21:9 cinematic ratio.

We all know Sony always does something different, this time they skipped on a high refresh rate screen and instead they went to implement Motion Blur Reduction. And as per the reports suggests, it matches the refresh rate of a 90Hz display screen. It does so by analyzing what’s on the screen and adjusting individual frames to reduces frame lag.
Camera
The Xperia One Mark Two boasts a revamped three-camera setup, which as you can see in the depicted pictures is now positioned on the left side of the rear panel. The setup includes – 12MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 12MP telephoto sensors. The megapixel counts are the same as that of the predecessor, but the Xperia 1 II comes with bigger sensors and faster lenses and this time are calibrated by the ZEISS branding.
On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor that houses in the top bezel of the unit.

Hardware
The Japanese company’s new smartphone comes with the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, competes with the 5G modem that works on Sub 6 GHz networks. The chipset is coupled with 8gigs of RAM and 256gigs of UFS storage.
Battery
To keep the lights of the device on, the company has embedded a decent 4,000mAh of battery. It has support for wireless charging.
Other Features
Android 10 comes pre-installed out of the box. The phone is rated IP65/IP68 for water and dust protection. It’s nice to see that the company has brought back the 3.5mm audio jack which is now a rare thing to see. For security, Sony has embedded a fingerprint reader on the right side of the phone.

Price & Availability

No price details have come yet. The Sony Xperia 1 II will be available in Black and Purple color options. The phone will go on sale from late Spring 2020.
