Xiaomi today lifted the veil of yet another entry-level smartphone dubbed as Redmi 8. The device came up with a new Aura Mirror design which supports an HD+ IPS LCD panel of size 6.22-inch.
As you can see in the depicted pictures, there’s a notch at the front which houses an 8MP F/2.0 selfie cam. The rear side has the dual-camera setup which includes setup which includes 12MP F/1.8 Sony IMX 363 main sensor with 1.4μm sized pixels and dual PD. The second unit is a 2MP depth sensor.
For security, the company has also embedded a fingerprint sensor which is located just below the dual-camera setup.
Under the hood, there resides a Snapdragon 439 processor which is aided with 4gigs of RAM and 64gigs of built-in storage. To keep the lights of the device on, the company has embedded a huge battery pack up of size 5,000mAh which supports up to 18W fast charging but you only get a 10W adapter in the box.
The Xiaomi Redmi 8 will be available in three different color variants including Sapphire Blue, Onyx Black, and Ruby Red.
Price & Availability
As far as the pricing goes, the Redmi 8 will come with a price tag of INR 7,999 ($112) for the 3/32GB model and the 4/64 GB variant will carry a tag of INR 8,999 ($126). The device will go on sale starting at midnight on October 12 on Mi.com and Flipkart.
