Xiaomi via a tweet on Twitter shares that the company has scheduled an event for September 25 in India to unwrap the successor of the Redmi 7A smartphone – Redmi 8A.
A couple of months back, the China-based juggernaut launched the budget-friendly smartphone Redmi 7A. And now the company shared the teaser image of the next-gen Redmi 8A smartphone.
As you can see in the depicted teaser picture above, the handset is coming with a waterdrop notch display which company calls “Dot Notch”
As per the latest leak suggests the phone will come with a 6.2″ dot notch display with 1520 x 720-pixel resolution and will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
Memory section for this device will include 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, and 4GB/64GB variants. You can expand the memory up to 512GB, thanks to the microSD card slot.
The rear side of the unit will feature a 12-megapixel sensor and the front side will house an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Android Pie v9.0 will come pre-installed on top of MIUI 10.
To keep the lights of the device on, the company has embedded a humongous 5,000mAh of battery.
As per the listing suggests, the Redmi 8A will come in eight different colors including the Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple, and Grey. However, as usual, only three or four color variant will be made available.
