Google at it’s I/O 2019 conference officially lifted the veil of the new Pixel 3A and Pixel 3XL smartphones. The duo smartphones came up with decent specifications, plastic build, and tempting pricing.
With these pair of new handsets, Google aims to reach a wider audience – that’s why the search engine giant kept it simple this time.
The Pixel 3A is the smaller one, it is equipped with an OLED panel of size 5.6-inches. The company has used Dragon Trail protection on top of the screen instead of Gorilla Glass.
Under the hood, there resides a Snapdragon 670 processor backed by Adreno 615 GPU. Memory section for this unit includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There’s no microSD card slot, so expansion of the storage is not possible with this unit.
Camera section for this device includes a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 main sensor on the rear side with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixels, and optical image stabilization. And on the front, for taking beautiful selfies company has embedded an 8MP unit with f/2.0 aperture.
The camera has all the high-end features available in the market, including – Night Sight, Top Shot, Super Res Zoom, and HDR+.
The device comes with 3,000 mAh battery which supports for 18W of fast charging over the USB Power Delivery standard.
Pixel 3A XL
This XL variant is the bigger and more powerful one. It is equipped with the same OLED display but with the 6.0″ inch size. The bezels of this phone are notably thicker. No notch can be seen on this unit as well.
To keep the lights of the device on, the company has embedded slightly larger battery size in this unit – a 3,700mAh.
As we mentioned above, Google has used plastic to build these phones. Just to keep the cost low to reach more people.
Interestingly, the phone has a 3.5mm audio, and stereo loudspeakers are also there.
Just Black, Clearly White and Purple-ish are the color options to choose from, with all of them featuring color accent power buttons.
As far as the pricing goes, the Pixel 3A will come with a price tag of $399, and the Pixel 3a XL will set you back at $479. And to that of availability, the units are already available in all countries.
In India, the units will arrive on May 15.
