In the early hours of today, Lenovo officially announced the S5 Pro and K5 Pro budget-oriented smartphones. Both came up with dual-rear camera setups, side-firing stereo speakers and large battery size with fast charging. Moreover, along with it the company also introduces a couple of new watches.
Lenovo S5 Pro
The Lenovo S5 Pro comes with all the premium design aesthetics you can expect from this year’s flagship smartphone. The handset flaunts a metal unibody that has been sand-blasted for a satin finish.
The device supports a 6.2” IPS LCD of 1080p resolution. There’s also a notch on top of the screen which houses a 20MP front-facing IMX 476 selfie sensor with 1.0µm pixels and an infrared 3D face scanner. The scanner is used for security, but also to enhance selfies.
This 3D face scanner is also used for more advanced beautification effects as well as simulating studio lighting.
On the rear side, there’s a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is the 12MP sensor with 1.25µm pixels and a bright f/1.8 aperture. And the other one is the 20MP 2x telephoto lens (f/2.6).
This rear camera is capable of shooting 4K at 30fps videos. For security, the company has embedded a fingerprint reader as well.
Under the hood, there resides Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and an option to choose between 64GB/128GB storage. The device comes with a hybrid dual SIM slot, so you have the opportunity to expand the storage.
Platform & Battery
The S5 Pro comes with the company’s own ZUI operating system on top of its own AI. To keep the lights of the device on, the company has embedded a decent 3,500mAh battery.
