HMD Global Starts Pushing Out The Stable Android Pie For The Nokia 6.1


Earlier this month, HMD started rolling out the Android Pie beta update for the Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus units. And now the company is pushing out the stable Pie update to the former one, i.e Nokia 6.1.

Weighing in at around 1,462MB in size, the update brings of a slew of changes – both visual and under-the-hood.


  • New System Navigation, settings menu, and notifications
  • Adaptive battery power prioritization for user’s most commonly used apps
  • Adaptive and optimized brightness levels
  • Predictive application actions
  • New camera v9.0 with new UI, Google Lens, and Google motion integration

The update is rolling over-the-air and is hitting the units in India, Germany, and Pakistan. We do believe that in coming days the 6.1 Plus units will also receive the update soon.


Before downloading the update make sure your device is charged up to 80 percent and is connected to a decent internet connection.
