Apple has just wrapped up it’s October 30 special event which took place in Brooklyn, New York. At the event, the company not only showcased the all-new MacBook Air but also unveiled the new iPad Pro.
The new iPad’s are available in two versions – one with 11″ and the other with 12.9″ screen. Both the tablets features super-sharp Liquid Retina displays with rounded corners. As you can see in the depicted pictures, there’s no Touch ID sensor this time so we have to rely on Face ID.
This was done to narrow the bezels which as you can see looks amazing. Moreover, you can now rotate the screen based on your face rather than relying on the sometimes unreliable accelerometer.
According to Apple, the new iPad Pros are more powerful than 92 percent of laptops available in the market. And it can easily run the full-blown versions of Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk AutoCAD.
The company has used the ProMotion displays on the new tablets – which were officially introduced last year. ProMotion is basically Apple’s name for the adaptive high refresh rate display on the two new iPad models. Thanks to that, the displays can easily render content at 120 fps. It can also sense your fingers and the new Apple Pencil a 120Hz.
New Apple Pencil has magnets and attaches to the tablet. The best thing, it now charges wirelessly. No lightning port!!
The new iPad Pros have a USB-C port, via which you can easily attach an external monitor, a DSLR, and other things.
Under the hood, things get more interesting as there resides the Apple’s new A12x chipset which as we all know is a beast. The iPad still powers an octa-core processor but now all the cores run a full throttle.
The chipset is paired with 7-core design GPU which as company claims is as fast as an Xbone One S. Yes you read it right!
There’s also a new high-profile accessory for the iPad Pros – the Folio keyboard. This will cost you around $180/€200 for the 11″ model and $200/€220 for the 12.9″ one. It will easily attach to your iPad via magnets and can hold the tablet at two angles – one for your lap, one for the desk.
