Essential Phone has just started receiving the latest Android Security Patch. Immediately after Google pushed out the September 2018 Patch for the Nexus and Pixel devices. The company is doing really a good job by giving the monthly security updates and that too at a lightning speed.
Essential via it’s official Twitter account tweeted about the update just minutes after Google released the latest security bulletin. The update brings Bluetooth audio and accessibility fixes, and the customer can grab the update by manually hitting the Setting’s tab.

Meanwhile, Google’s Pixel and Nexus users have to wait for the update to hit their units. Although, they can download the OTA file / Image and can flash the update manually. But Essential’s effectively made updating a quicker and smoother process than on Google’s own devices.
The update weighs in at around 81.4MB in size and brings Android 9.0.0 to the devices. Arriving in with build number PPR1.180905.036 the update brings various bug fixes and system improvements.
Before downloading the update make sure your device is charged up to 50 percent and is connected to a decent internet connection.
