Realme – Oppo’s sub-brand – officially launched the Realme 2 Pro smartphone here in India. The device came up with some exciting mid-level specifications, although the brand’s initial goal was to target the entry-level market.
Realme 2 Pro Design
As you can see in the depicted picture above, the phone looks premium. A dual camera setup, an iPhone inspired rear panel, and on the front, there’s an impressive 6.3 inch IPS LCD waterdrop display having the resolution of 2340 X 1080 pixels. Except for that tiny water drop – Dewdrop – as Realme calls it, there ain’t a thing on the front side. There is also a fingerprint reader, located on the rear side.
Realme 2 Pro Camera
As we mentioned above the front has a tiny waterdrop (Dewdrop), and that contains a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Along with that the notch also contains an earpiece and light and proximity sensor.
The rear side has the dual 16MP + 2MP camera setup, with the primary sensor being positioned behind a fast f/1.7 lens.
Realme 2 Pro Specifications
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with different RAM and storage options to choose from, which includes a 4/64 GB variant, a mid-level 6/64 GB variant, and an 8/128 GB high-end variant. Things don’t end there if you want to expand your storage, you easily can as MicroSD card slot is also there.
Android Oreo v8.1 comes pre-installed out of the box with ColorOS 5.2 skin. It also brings features like “Easy Screenshot,” Clone Phone, and Smart Play that allows local videos to keep playing in the background.
Connectivity options for this device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, micro USB, and 3.5mm audio jack.
To keep the lights of the device on the company has embedded a decent 3,500 mAh battery capacity, but lacks support for fast charging.
Price & Availability
Starting 11th Oct 2018, the Realme 2 Pro will be up for grabs in India as a Flipkart exclusive smartphone. The company has chosen Flipkart’s Big Billion Day for the device to go for sale in the country. Black, Deep Blue, and Light Blue are the color option to choose from.
As far as the pricing goes, the 4GB RAM variant of Realme 2 Pro will cost you around INR 13,990, while, the 6GB RAM with the 64 GB storage will be available for INR 15,990. And the high-end 8GB RAM variant will set you back at INR 17,990.
