The long-awaited Android Oreo 8.0 update for the Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units have started rolling out – this time for real. Last month, the carrier toyed hearts of the users by saying that the Oreo update was rolling out when in reality it had simply posted the wrong changelog.
But this time it’s rolling out with right changelog. Arriving in with build numbers R16NW.G930VVRU4CRE5 for the S7 and R16NW.G935VVRU4CRE5 for the S7 edge, the update brings the Oreo operating system and April 2018 Security Patch which is now 2-months-old.
As usual its an OTA update will roll out gradually so be patient. Meanwhile, you can head over to the Settings menu of your device and manually check whether the update is ready for your device or not.
