Sharp Aquos S3 High Edition Goes Official In Taiwan

Comes With Qi wireless charging


The Taiwan based manufacturer Sharp officially launched the AQUOS S3 High Edition in the country. The device is the upgraded version of the AQUOS S3 smartphone which went official back in April.

This new variant now boasts Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded via microSD card. One of the highlighting features of the device is that it comes with Qi wireless charging support.

The front side of the device is covered with 6″ IPS 18:9 aspect ratio display with FHD+ (2160 x 1080) pixels resolution. Camera section for the device includes a vertical dual camera setup on the rear side – a 12MP + 13MP sensor with f/1.75 aperture. On the front side, there is a 16MP selfie sensor with a standard f/2.0 lens. And following the trend, the device support for AI face recognition as well.

To keep the lights of the device on the company has embedded a 3,200mAh of battery with Quick Charge 3.0 with USB-C port. It comes with Android Oreo 8.0 running out of the box.

Price & Availability

This high edition AQUOS S3 will cost you around NT$13,990 or about $470/€400. Black and Gold are the color options to choose from. The company is also offering some early bird gifts like wireless charging pad, glass protector, and coupons for NT$400 discount of various items in the stores.
