Apple lately released the iOS 11.4 update which does bring many new features and changes but appears to have some battery draining issues. And to voice this issue, a large number of iPhone users have taken to Apple’s forum.
I have the same issue with my 6S+. It was fine before the update. And my battery health is at 90% yet I just watched my battery % drop from 50% to 20% in a matter of minutes while not using it. I’ve looked through all the settings and can’t see anything I’ve previously had turned off turn back on with this new update in regards to saving battery life. Whatever it is that’s causing it they need to fix it ASAP
As you can see in the above-depicted picture near to a thousand people have confirmed that they have this battery draining issue which is not at all a good news.
Many users have reported that they’ve tried everything from turning off location services, Wi-Fi but nothing seems to be working.
But for some connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (instead of 5GHz) did the trick in others. While several users have also reported that downgrading it to iOS 11.3.1 have also work.
No official words from Apple on this has come yet. Hopefully, next stable version update will fix this battery draining issue.
