Instagram Portabilty Tool

As per the latest report from the TechCrunch suggests – source link provided below – Instagram is currently working on a new data portability tool which will allow the users to natively download a copy of their shared photos, videos, and messages.

Here’s what exactly the Instagram Spokesperson said :

“We are building a new data portability tool. You’ll soon be able to download a copy of what you’ve shared on Instagram, including your photos, videos and messages.”

The details of this new upcoming feature are a bit scarce at the moment. We don’t know whether it will only allow users to download photos, videos, and messages; or it will also allow downloading your following and follower lists, Likes, comments, Stories, and the captions you share with posts.

Facebook already has its comprehensive backup facility for nearly 6 years now and it’s disappointing that Instagram being almost 8 years old and having over 800 million users took this long to bring the feature.

All other information about this tool is as of yet unknown, we’ll let you guys know about it as soon as we hear a word.
