Essential Rolls Out The OTA Update For The Android Oreo 8.1 Beta Program

0

A few days back Essential officially reveals that due to some stability issues they have suspended the Android Oreo v8.0 update and now the device will directly get the version 8.1 with all the issues resolved.

Last week, Essential rolls out the Android Oreo 8.1 beta program for the Essential Phone and until today you had to manually sideload it to your phone.

The good news is that now you there’s another option as the OTA for the beta program is now available. To get the OTA you need to be enrolled in company’s beta program, which if you haven’t can do so by heading over to the dedicated page on Essential’s website. There you’d be asked to choose the option to install the beta, simply choose over-the-air.

Before enrolling in the beta program keep in mind that the betas are usually unstable and contain bugs and performance issues.
