Last week Google rolled out the Android Wear v2.8 update and the talk about the next version has already begun. The new version 2.9 will bring new features including –
- New Unread Notification indicator (on by default)
- ComplicationDrawable now handles permission
- New Callback indicates if ComplicationDrawable completed loading images/icons

According to Google, they have released a number of updates that improve the performance of smartwatches running Android Wear and the company plans on pushing out many more updates in near future.
