Apple Commence Assembling The iPhone SE In India, First Batch To Arrive Later On This Month

As per the latest report from the below source suggests Apple has started assembling iPhone SE in India. The reason behind manufacturing in the country is simple – Apple due to high import charges sell it’s iPhone at a price which is atrociously high. And due to this Cupertino based company only covers 5% market in the country.

“We are beginning initial production of a small number of iPhone SE in Bengaluru. iPhone SE is the most popular and powerful phone with a 4-inch display in the world and we will begin shipping to domestic customers this month,” an Apple spokesperson said in a statement.

It’s is believed that manufacturing the iPhones in country will bring the price down by about 100$ (since there will be no import charges), this might raise company’s market share in the country.

Samsung and Chinese companies including Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei has already dominated the Indian market when it comes to buying a mid-range smartphone. Apple built-in India iPhones will give a good competition to these manufacturers.
