As per the latest report from the below source suggests Apple has started assembling iPhone SE in India. The reason behind manufacturing in the country is simple – Apple due to high import charges sell it’s iPhone at a price which is atrociously high. And due to this Cupertino based company only covers 5% market in the country.
“We are beginning initial production of a small number of iPhone SE in Bengaluru. iPhone SE is the most popular and powerful phone with a 4-inch display in the world and we will begin shipping to domestic customers this month,” an Apple spokesperson said in a statement.
It’s is believed that manufacturing the iPhones in country will bring the price down by about 100$ (since there will be no import charges), this might raise company’s market share in the country.
