Couple of days back, Google reveal it’s plan to expand it’s mobile payment service- Android Pay to five more countries. Keeping it’s word company today announce it’s Pay service in Russia making it the 11th country to support the service. Devices running Android 4.4 or higher will support this service.
“Thousands of organizations in Russia already support Android Pay, including such popular ones as Magnit, Perekrestok, Starbucks, KFC and Rosneft, and their list will continue to grow,” the company said (translated) in a blog post.
There are total of 15 banks which are in the list of supported banks which includes Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, VTB24, Russian Standard Bank, and Raiffeisen Bank.
