Cortana Will Soon Be Integrated In The Next Version Of Cyanogen OS

According to Kirt McMaster, the Co-founder and CEO of Cyanogen, the next version of Cyanogen operating system will be integrated with Cortana, Microsoft’s personal voice assistant. Cortana is already available in Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 10 mobile and back in may Microsoft unveiled Cortana for Android and iOS platforms

Kirt McMaster, the co-founder said that Cyanogen is working with Microsoft to integrate Cortana in the Android-based Cyanogen OS. According to what he told the International Business Times:

“When Apple launched Apple Music at WWDC, they showed the Siri integration with Apple Music. Siri doesn’t power Spotify like that so we can do these kind of things with for example, integration of Microsoft’s Cortana into the OS enabling natural language to power Spotify and other services.”
Along with this he also added that the integration would no be offered in the form of app, like the Current Android beta:

“Natural language coupled with intelligence is very important but as an application it doesn’t rally (sic) work because you need to be embedded into the framework of the OS because that is where you get all the signal from the services that makes that intelligence smarter.”
