OnePlus Pushed Out OxygenOS 5.0 (Android O) OTA For 3 And 3T Units
OnePlus has finally started pushing out the highly-anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update to its last year’s flagship smartphones – OnePlus 3 and 3T. A couple of months back when OnePlus rolls out the beta version of Android Oreo update for its OnePlus 3 users they promised to make the update available to everyone before the end of this year. And now keeping its word company has started seeding the update to both 3 and 3T units.

As usual, it’s an over-the-air update will roll out gradually so be patient. Meanwhile, you can head over to the Setting’s menu of your device to manually check for the update. Before downloading the update make sure your device is charged up to 80 percent and is connected to a decent internet connection.

Android Oreo Update Starts Hitting The OnePlus 3 Closed Beta Group

OnePlus 3 closed beta group rolling out with a new update which brings the latest flavor of Android operating system – Oreo. The update weighs around 800MB in size and is currently hitting the units under the closed beta channel.

It’s strange to see how OnePlus 3 is receiving this beta update before 3T and 5, but it’s nice to see the company hasn’t forgotten its previous flagship device.  
Without any doubt, the update is full of bugs and is not stable,NFC isn’t functional yet, WiFi is buggy, hotspot and Bluetooth is unstable.

The stable build is expected to come by mid-September. The OnePlus 3T and 5 closed beta groups are also expected to get this Oreo Update soon. With stable build for both the devices to come in the same time-frame as that of 3.

Xiaomi Pushed Out Android Nougat Update To Its Redmi Note 4 Smartphone
Redmi Note 4 Nougat Update

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 units in Greece have started receiving the Android Nougat v7.0 update. Arriving as MIUI version 8.5 (global), the update also brings Android Security Patch for the month of July.

The device was launched earlier this year with Android Marshmallow pre-installed. But this update will bump the operating system version to 7.0. It will bring all the goodies of Nougat along with it.
The update is larger in size weighing in at around 1.3GB so before downloading it make sure your device is charged up to 80 percent and you are connected to a decent internet connection. 
The device is also scheduled to get  MIUI 9 update later on this month.
As usual, it’s an over-the-air update will take a couple of days to reach every unit as it rolls out gradually. If you are one of those who can’t wait for the update you can also check it manually by heading to the Settings menu of your device.

Lenovo Pushed Out Android 7.0 Nougat Update To It’s 2017 Smartphones

Lenovo has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to all of it’s android-powered smartphones launched this year (2017). Lately, company pushed out the Nougat update to it’s K6 Note and K6 Power devices and now the update has started hitting the Z2 Plus and P2 units.

It’s really nice to see that Lenovo is proving update to all of it’s devices launched earlier this year. The update will bring all the goodies of Nougat and will also improve the overall performance of the device. 

Aside from goodies of Nougat the update will also brings features like video over LTE mode, manual camera mode as well as screen recorder. Users will also have the a new feature of launching apps using the fingerprint scanner.

To be on safer side before downloading the update make sure your device is charged up to 50 percent and you are connected to a decent internet connection.

Motorola Moto Z Rolling Out With Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update In Indonesia And Honk Kong
Motorola has just begun the roll out of Android Nougat v7.1.1 to it’s last year’s flagship device – Moto Z. Currently the update is hitting the units in Indonesia and Hong Kong. It’s an OTA update will take some time to reach every unit so be patient.

The update will bring all the Nougat 7.1.1 features including icon long press shortcuts, new keyboard emojis, doze enhancements and a polished user interface. Goodle Duo video chat app will also be added after this update.

Aside from the software bump the update also brings Android Security patch for the month of July to the device.

Xiaomi News: Over 1 Million Units Of Redmi 4 Smartphone Have Been Sold In 30 Days

Xiaomi Redmi 4 officially unveiled sometime in May in India and went on sale the very next day of the launch – on May 23 to be precise. In just 8 minutes of first day of launch company sold over 250k units of it’s Redmi 4 device. 

And now as per the latest report suggests Xiaomi has sold over 1 Million units of Redmi 4 in just 30 days in India. Redmi Note 4 also reached this milestone but it took 2 weeks more to reach this mark.

For those who are out of the loop, Redmi 4A comes with a 5″ HD display screen, is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage (higher variant). The device comes with Android Marshmallow v6.0 pre-installed on top of MIUI 8 and packs a huge battery pack up of size 4,100mAh.
