In the beginning of this year at CES 2018, Vivo showcased world’s first fingerprint scanner under the display smartphone dubbed as – Vivo X20 Plus UD. The handset went official later on in February and then a later on that month company showcased it’s APEX concept – which was all about getting rid of bezels, “Half-Screen In-Display” fingerprint scanner and the elevating selfie camera with no notch.
At that time we didn’t think it to see it real this soon. But the company keeping its word turned the APEX concept into a real commercially-ready smartphone. The premium model is dubbed as NEX S and offers flagship smartphone-like features and some unique one as well.
As you can see in the depicted pictures, the NEX S comes with a bezel-less screen – an impressive 91.24% screen-to-body ratio by letting go of the notch and having a minimal chin on the bottom. Ultra FullView Display – that’s what company calls it – sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ (2316 x 1080px) resolution and a unique 19.3:9 ratio.
And like we’ve seen in the X21 UD, this device incorporates the cool under the display fingerprint scanner. As we mentioned above the NEX S has an impressive bezel-less screen, and as promised vivo brings the periscope-like camera with an 8MP sensor and f/2.0 aperture.
