Scott Huffman, Vice President Engineering, Assistant at Google I/O developer conference shared that Google Assistant is now available on over 500 million devices. Last year, the digits were somewhere around 100M – a gain of 400M users in a year.
It’s available on for over 40 car brands and it works with 5,000 connected home devices.
Back in 2016, Google Assistant started off as a chatbot in Allo and now it is available in cars, speakers, most Android devices, the Pixelbook, wearables, and other form factors.
People around the world are using the Assistant every single day. For example, the Assistant was launched in India last year and since the beginning of the year, daily users has been tripled in the country.
And before this year ends the Assistant will support 30 languages and will be available in 80 countries.
