Verizon Pixel and Pixel 2 sets have started receiving a new over-the-air software update. Arriving in with version number OPM1.171019.011, the update includes Android Security Patch for the month of December and fix to the KRACK Wi-Fi exploit. It’s a bit late for Verizon to release the patch, but nevertheless, it’s here now.
It is a highly recommended software update and as we mentioned above it’s an OTA update can take from a day to a week to reach so be patient. Meanwhile, you can head over to the Setting’s menu of your perspective devices to manually check for the update.
It’s better to download the update over a decent Wi-Fi connection to avoid data charges. And make sure before downloading your device is charged up to 50 percent.
Google is already testing the Android 8.1 Oreo update on its Pixel devices. We expect to see the final build soon.
