Xiaomi Mi 6 And Mi Max 2 Goes Official In Russia

Xiaomi yesterday in collaboration with RDC Group unveil it's newly launched Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 smartphones in Russia.

Donovan Sung, the director of company's product and marketing department addressing the event said that "Russia - a priority market for us, and we strive to present here our latest innovative products in the shortest possible time."
As a flashback, the Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with a 5.15-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with 1920 x 1080p resolution and 428 pixel per inch. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC which is backed by Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage.

One of the highlighting feature of this device is it's dual-rear camera setup that sits flush with a surface. The setup comprises dual 12 MP (27mm, f/1.8, OIS 4-axis & 52mm, f/2.6), phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Features of the camera includes 1/2.9" sensor size, 1.25 µm @ 27mm & 1.0 µm @ 52mm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.

On the front side there's an 8MP selfie cam which is capable of recording videos up to 1080p resolution. To keep the lights of the device on company has embedded a large 3,350mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is also there embedded on the front home button.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2, on the other hand, is a mid-range phablet which comes with the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and a discreet antenna design. This phablet flaunts a huge 6.44" FullHD display with thin bezels.

The chipset is aided with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM with two option of internal storage to choose from - 64GB or 128GB. One of the highlighting feature of Mi Max 2 is it's battery, in this new iteration Xiaomi has embedded a huge battery of size 5,300 mAh which comes with QuickCharge 3.0. Company claims that 0ne-hour charging fills 2/3 of the capacity.

Camera section includes a 12-megapixel rear camera sensor - Sony’s IMX386 sensor with 1.25µm pixels. On the front side there's a 5-megapixel sensor with 85-degree wide-angle lens.

Both the handsets comes with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based MIUI out-of-the-box.

Availability & Price: The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come with a price tag of 29,990 rubles and starting July 4 will be available for purchase. The Mi Max 2 will come with a price tag of 19,990 rubles but there’s no availability date for this device just yet.
