Google lately announced that by the end of this month - on June 30 to be precise it will end the support for Android Market on the devices running on Android 2.1 or below versions. First version of Android came in 2008, since then the giant search engine is giving support to all it's android powered devices but now company has decided to end the support.

Android

As per Google, “All devices running Android 2.1 Eclair or below will “no longer be able to access, or install other apps from, the Android Market.” Moreover, users will not receive any notifications about this ending the support thing due to technical restrictions in the original Android Market app.

This is not gonna impact much as the devices running version 2.2 or below don't even show up on monthly distribution charts anymore.

If you are one of those who are still using version 2.2 or below, it's time to upgrade your smartphone mate!
