Huawei Honor 9 Officially Unveiled With 5.15" DCIP Screen, Dual Camera Setup, Android Nougat And Kirin 960 Chipset

Huawei Honor 9 goes official today. The device came up with a 5.15-inch display screen with 1080p resolution and DCI-P3 color space. Android Nougat v7.0 comes pre-installed with EMUI 5.1 on top of it.

Under the hood there resides a HiSilicon’s premium Kirin 960 chipset, same as the Mate 9 and P10. The chipset is aided with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage option to choose from.

There's a dual camera setup on the rear side - 12MP+20MP - features 2x optical zoom, portrait and bokeh modes. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera.

Along with this new device company is also launching it's mobile payment service - Huawei Pay which Huawei 9 supports. Connectivity option for the device includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone flaunts a metal body with a glass on rear side. Grey, Blue and Amber Gold are the color option to choose from. To keep the device running company has embedded a sturdy 3,200mAh of battery.

Price & Availability: The Huawei Honor 9 will be up for purchase starting June 16 
at Vmall, JD and six other Chinese retailers (it will be a coordinated, simultaneous launch). As far as the pricing goes the 64GB variant will cost you around CNY 2,700 ($400/€355) and the 128GB variant will set you back at CNY 3,000 ($440/€395).
