Oppo F3 VS Vivo V5 Plus



Oppo has just unveil it's normal variant of next-gen 'Selfie Expert' smartphone - Oppo F3 in Indian market. The device is almost identical to that of the plus variant, it also packs dual rear camera setup. The only difference is in screen size, this normal variant comes with 5.5" of fullHD display screen.

In this article we will compare this newly launched device with the Vivo V5 Plus which was launched earlier this year.

Design

Design wise both the smartphones are almost identical, as both flaunts metal body design with Fingerprint sensor mounted on the front home button. Both are equipped with 5.5" fullHD display screen with corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. 

The Vivo V5 Plus is slightly heavier in weight (158.6 g)as compared to Oppo F3 which weighs around 153 g.

Specs

Oppo F3 powers Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 Mediatek MT6750T chispet which is backed by Mali-T860MP2 graphics. The processor is aided with 64GB of on-board storage and 4GB of RAM. Storage option here can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Connectivity option includes Dual SIM,4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

In comparison to this Vivo V5 Plus powers Qualcomm Snapdagon 625 processor which is backed by Adreno 506 graphics. The processor on this device is also coupled with 64GB of on-board storage and 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity here is no expandable as there's no microSD card slot. Connectivity option includes Dual-SIM 4GVoLTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS ,and Hi-Fi Chipset AK4376. 

Both the devices comes with Android Marshmallow v6.0 pre-installed. Sadly, there's no NFC in either of the device

Camera

Both the devices comes with dual-rear camera set up. On paper, F3 houses a Dual 16 MP (1/3.1" sensor size, f/2.0) + 8 MP, f/2.4 front-facing camera and V5 Plus with Dual 20 MP + 8 MP, f/2.0, 1/2.8" sensor size, 1080p.

On rear side, there's an 13MP and 16MP sensor respectively. 

Battery

The battery pack up both the devices are almost same, the Oppo F3 comes with 3,200mAh of pack up while the Vivo V5 Plus comes with 3,160mAh of pack up.

As far as the pricing goes the F3 will cost you around Rs. 19,990 whereas the V5 Plus will set you back at Rs 27980.
