Huawei today officially took wraps off it’s second gen Nova series android-powered smartphones – Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. Both are budget oriented smartphones came with dual rear camera setup.
The highlighting feature of these newly launched devices are their camera sensor, both are equipped with dual rear sensor consisting of a 12MP sensor (1.25µm pixels) behind an f/1.8 lens and an 8MP sensor to help with optical zoom and portrait mode. On the front side there’s an 20MP sensor for taking beautiful selfies.
Both flaunts a full unimetal body and differ mainly in screen size- Nova 2 houses a 5″ display while the Plus variant comes with a larger display of size 5.5″. Both are LTPS LCDs with 1080p resolution covered with 2.5D curved glass.
In this new iteration company has ditched the Qualcomm’s processor and embedded a new Kirin 659 chipset. Battery pack up is also decent – 2,950mAh and 3,340mAh.
Memory section for both includes 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage option to choose from.
Price & Availability: As far as the pricing is concerned the Nova 2 will cost CNY 2,500 ($365/€325), and the nova 2 plus will set you back at CNY 2,900 ($420/€375). Pre-booking for the devices has already begun, you can head over to the Vmall site and book a unit by depositing CN100. Starting June 16 both the handsets will be available for purchase.
