HTC today at it’s ‘U’ event officially introduce it’s new flagship smartphone which goes by name – HTC U 11.
“Squeeze for the brilliant U” – this was the tagline which accompanied the event invitation and today HTC welcomes everyone to the even with the same tagline.
The company begins this year with the launch of two smartphones of it’s new ‘U’ line up – the U Play and U Ultra. And today a new flagship device is launched of the same line, this means the ‘M’ line is no more. The aesthetics of this new device is similar to that of the devices launched earlier this year, with a glass front and slightly curved glass back, highly reflective finish and all.
The HTC U 11 comes with all the latest specifications, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor which will provide cutting-edge performance. The chipset is aided with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Front side is covered with 5.5″ QHD display screen with pixel density of 534 pixel-per-inch.
The U 11 will support for both Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants. ‘Dual Wake Words’ – that’s what company calls it.
The major new feature of this flagship device from HTC is squeeze: pressure sensitive sensors along the sides of the phone allowing you to “squeeze” the handset in order to activate a certain action. You can use this as a shortcut to number of functions, for instance you can set it to launch the camera, map, music, to turn on the flashlight or to wake the digital assistant.
Now you people might be wondering how the U 11 gonna respond to your squeeze? There’s a long squeeze and a short squeeze, which the phone will use as two separate triggers.
