The Xiaomi Mi 6 officially unveiled, yesterday the Chinese company puts an end to all the rumors and took wraps off it’s latest flagship smartphone. The device came up with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset and a dual camera setup located on the rear side.
Like Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, Xiaomi Mi 6 didn’t bring the bleeding edge of tech but there’s a huge emphasis more on build quality and design.
There are total of three different variants of this new launched device, two differentiating in memory section and an exclusive variant with ceramic back and 18K gold rims around the two cameras akin to the Mi Mix 18K.
One of the highlighting feature of this device is it’s dual-rear camera setup that sits flush with a surface. The setup comprises dual 12 MP (27mm, f/1.8, OIS 4-axis & 52mm, f/2.6), phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Features of the camera includes 1/2.9″ sensor size, 1.25 µm @ 27mm & 1.0 µm @ 52mm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.
On the front side there’s an 8MP selfie cam which is capable of recording videos up to 1080p resolution.
The device measures in at 145.2 x 70.5 x 7.5 mm and weighs in at around 168 g / 182 g (Ceramic). It comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat pre-installed which is based on Xiaomi’s MIUI skin.
