Verizon Google Pixel Phones Start Receiving The Android 7.1.2 Update

Few days back Google begins the roll out of Android 7.1.2 update to it's Nexus and Pixel devices. The update also includes the android security patch for the month of April. Non-Google OEM won't get this update for a while, but Blackberry has started rolling out the April security update to it's android powered devices making it the 
first non-google OEM to roll out such update.

Google Pixel XL

Now, Verizon- one of the US carriers has also started pushing out this new Android 7.1.2 update to it's Pixel smartphones. Both Pixel and Pixel XL receiving this update. Arriving in with build number NHG47K, the update has brought bugs fixes and performance improvements.

This update includes these improvements:
  • Better performance and connectivity for Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi
  • Adds a new feature allowing you to back up and restore 1st-party apps such as Calendar™, Drive™ and Messenger
  • Better Voice call performance
  • Latest Android™ security patches

This update fixes the following issues:
  • Certain HD Voice/Wi-Fi Calling options were missing after the phone's software was updated
  • In rare cases the phone was not able to receive text messages.
