OnePlus 5 Rumored To Come With Dual-Edge Screen, 23MP Camera And 256GB of Storage

OnePlus 3
A new rumor comes from Korea that claims that OnePlus is ditching the OnePlus 4 name and the next smartphone flagship will be named OnePlus 5. Now you people might be wondering why company is skipping the 4?

There are couple of possibilities: firstly the number 4 is considered unlucky in China, and One Plus has already launched a revamped, improved version of One Plus 3, the 3T, the next flagship device from the company would be the fifth flagship.

The same report have also shed some light on some technical specifications of the alleged One Plus 5. The device is rumored to come with a dual-edge screen, a feature which company might borrow from the Galaxy S7 edge.

Other features that are in talks includes 16MP selfie cam, 23MP rear-facing camera, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The device is also rumored to flaunt a ceramic body, like we've seen in the Xiaomi Mi Mix

These features seems quite promising but there's one thing which is still unclear (even though this is an alleged rumor) is which chipset the phone maker would go with for its next flagship device.

We already know that Samsung is hogging all the Snapdragon 835 chips for it's this year's flagship smartphone, Galaxy S8 and S8+. As One Plus has already used Snapdragon 821 chip in 3T so they'd rather wait until they can get their hands on the new Qulacomm chip.

Nothing is official as of now so take this as a pinch of salt.
