Amazon India Launches A New ” Sell as Individual” Service – Sell Used Products Locally In Your City

Lately this year Amazon launches it’s Prime video service in India and now after few days the US based e-commerce giant has launched a new “Sell as Individual” service in the country. According to which users will be able to sell used products locally in their cities. As of now the service is live only in Bangalore.

Now you people might be wondering how to do so? It’s quite straightforward albeit, in order to sell a used product you just have to upload a picture of that product, add product details and list it following which your product will be available for sale on Amazon India. When someone purchase your product, Amazon will get in touch with you via an email to schedule an appointment for a doorstep pickup. A person from Amazon will come and pick up the product, pack it up and deliver it to the buyer.

If the buyer doesn’t like the product or due to some odd reason returned it, Amazon will ship it back to you, at no charge. On successful purchase, Amazon will transact the money to your bank account and will notify you via an email.

Now you might be wondering how does Amazon will earn from this?

For every item value below Rs. 1000, Amazon will charge you Rs. 10, for item valued between Rs. 1000-Rs. 5000 you will be charged Rs. 50, and Rs. 100 for per item sold valued above Rs. 5000.

There are many categories under which you can sell used products, that includes electronics, laptops, phones, fashion Jewellery, women’s apparel, books, watches, mobile accessories, computer accessories and peripherals.

Amazon is also offering Rs. 1,000 as Amazon Pay balance, if you sell five books, video games, movies, or music; or, if you sell one mobile phone, tablet, or laptop. The Amazon Pay balance will be credited within 30 days of expiration of the offer period that is valid till January 15, 2017.
