Sony Xperia XZ
The Xperia XZ comes up with a new design as you can see in the depicted picture and a new signature color – Forest Blue. The phone is made of a trademarked material called ALKALEIDO – it’s a fancy word for a rounded aluminum piece, which is very nice to touch and rather smudge resistant.
Sony Xperia XZ flagship comes with a 5.2-inch IPS display but with still 1080p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, top-notch connectivity options, stereo speakers, USB Type-C port and 32GB of Storage which is expandable up to 200GB via a microSD card.
The highlight feature of this device is it’s camera, on the rear side there’s a 23-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 lens. This time Sony went for a new IMX300 sensor for both it’s new devices, which offers a new autofocus system. Other features includes color detection, phase detection, and laser-assist to measure distance correctly and track intelligently moving objects. It’s a Triple Image Sensing setup which will always provide accurate focus for your images and videos. But the camera does lacks optical image stabilization feature.
The one negative thing about this device is it’s battery, the device packs a small battery of 2,900mAh- company does upgrade in this department too but it’s a small upgrade over the X Performance. But the device is capable of Quick Charge 3.0.
Price & Availability: The Sony Xperia XZ flagship device will be available in different color options including Mineral Black, Forest Blue, and Platinum and is expected to debut in early October. No pricing details have been revealed, but considering that this is the best device from Sony until now, we expect a price tag north of €700.
Sony Xperia X Compact
As you can see in the depicted picture Sony has chose the same design suit for the X Compact too the we just saw on Xperia XZ. The device measures in at 9.5mm in thickness, but due to it’s round design and screen the device looks and feels a lot thinner and is light in weight too.
As far as the technical specs of this device goes, it powers a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The device features a 4.6-inch display, 720p resolution, and in this display the SD650 chipset would deliver the same graphical performance as a Snapdragon 820 would behind a 1080p matrix.
Price & Availability: We expect this device to come with a price tag of €500, it’s just a guess, and will be available next week in Universe Black, Mist Blue, and White color options.
