ASUS at IFA 2016 officially took wraps off it’s next-gen Zenwatch – first round watch from the company – the Zenwatch 3. This new member of family features quite different design from previous watch generations which either have rectangular or square design. This time company adopts a more classic circular design.
From past month the rumor mill was taking rounds around the next iteration of Zenwatch series and yesterday ASUS put an end to all that rumors and leaks and officially unveiled the Zenwatch 3 which as you can see in the depicted images is round and gorgeous.
The Zenwatch 3 will be available in three different color options including Gunmetal, Silver, and RoseGold, and on all the variants there’s a rose gold ring around the watch face. All the models are made of grade 316L stainless steel and also carry IP67 certification .
There are two options of straps, either you can go for leather one or can choose the rubber one. But there were not words about the stainless steel option, atleast nothing for now, we might see one in future.
As far as the technical specification goes the Zenwatch 3 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixel resolution – very similar to the Huawei Watch. The watch is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor which is coupled with 4GB of storage and half a gig of RAM.
To keep the watch running ASUS has embedded a 341mAh of battery which could last atleast for 2 days. There’s also HyperCharge tech with the help of which you’ll be able to charge your watch from 0 to 60% in 15min.
The Zenwatch 3 will carry a price tag of €229 in Europe, and the launch date is yet to be announced.
