Report: the HTC-made Sailfish and Marlin to drop the Nexus name, will debut a new Google brand
As per the latest report from the below source, Android Central, suggests Google's this year Nexus devices courtesy of HTC will debut under a new brand name. So is this mean that the Google is dropping the Nexus name? But nothing is official for the time being and this information comes from unverified sources so we just can't dive into it.
From pas month we saw a lot of rumors, leaked specs and images of the upcoming HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish. The latest report suggest that along with new features both the devices will come with a range of unique software features and a modified UI on top of vanilla Android. Normally Nexus devices offer the pure vanilla Android experience but this time that doesn't seems the case, which is allegedly why Google has decided to debut a new brand name.
If this new report is to be believed, both the upcoming devices will lack any HTC branding, and the both devices will come with a new brand name which us yet to be discovered.
For the time being we can't say that is this the end of Nexus line-up? We hope this won't be the case.
The same report also points towards the launch of two Goolge-branded Android Wear smartwatches with code name : Angelfish and Swordfish, both expected to debut later this year.
