Huawei today officially launched the P9 smartphone in India, as promised earlier.
The USP of the Huawei P9 is its dual 12MP rear camera setup which is developed in collaboration with imaging legend Leica. This dual camera setup comes with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and a pixel size of 1.25 microns. With this hardware the camera in this phone is bound to deliver exceptional image quality even in low-light conditions. And on the front side there’s an 8MP snapper for selifes.
The Huawei P9 houses a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display (with 1080x1920p resolution), and powers octa-core Huawei’s home-brewn HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor. There are two variants of P9- one with 3gigs of RAM and 32gigs of storage and the other with 4gigs of RAM and 64gigs of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot which is expandable up to 256GB in size.
There’s also a fingerprint sensor located at the back side along with a 3,000mAh of battery with fast charging support. The device runs on Huawei’s own Emotion UI running atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Connectivity option includes 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
Price & Availability: As far as the price is concerned to buy this device you need to have a deep pocket as it will set you back at ₹39,999 which according to current transaction rates translates into $597 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting tomorrow (August 18).
