Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) Goes Official With Smart Glow, Quad-Core Processor And 5" Display

At an event today in India, Samsung unveiled to new devices namely - the Galaxy J Max with a humongous 7" display and Galaxy J2 2016 with Smart Glow notification light. The Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 was already in talks recently and from past few weeks we've been seeing a lot of rumors and leaks about it. But the Samsung J Max was a surprise from Samsung as we just saw a tweet few hours ago and now the device is official.

Talking about Galaxy J2 2016, the device features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS, a 8-megapixel snapper on the back and a 5-megapixel unit on the front. The device is powered by a 2,600mAh of battery. The device also support for UDS (Ultra data saving)mode powered by Opera Max and S bike mode.

The catchy feature of this device is the Smart Glow Notification LED which is basically a light ring fitted around the rear camera. This notification LED ring can easily be customized for priority notifications of any app or contact.

Along with this Samsung also revealed a new Turbo Speed Technology (TST) which comes preloaded in the Galaxy J2 (2016). This new tech will enhance the performance of smartphone and is claimed to load apps to 40 percent faster than devices with double the RAM.

Price & Availability: The Galaxy J 2 (2016) is said to cost INR 9,750 which according to latest transaction rates translates to $145. The device will go on sale across country (India) starting next week and will be available in different color options including Black, Gold and Silver.
