Huawei P9 To Hit Indian Shelves On August 17

Back in April Huawei launched the successor to P8 which was one of the most impressive and fastest Android device of 2015- the Huawei P9. As of now the device is available in China and UK and now it seems that the device is making its way to Indian shores- according to the below source. 

Huawei is holding a press event on August 17 and company is expected to unveil the P9 and company has started sending the invites for the media event. 

The USP of the Huawei P9 is its dual 12MP rear camera setup which is developed in collaboration with imaging legend Leica. This dual camera setup comes with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and a pixel size of 1.25 microns. With this hardware the camera in this phone is bound to deliver exceptional image quality even in low-light conditions. And on the front side there's an 8MP snapper for selifes.

The Huawei P9 houses a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display (with 1080x1920p resolution), and powers octa-core Huawei's home-brewn HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor. There are two variants of P9- one with 3gigs of RAM and 32gigs of storage and the other with 4gigs of RAM and 64gigs of storage. There's also a microSD card slot which is expandable up to 256GB in size. 

There's also a fingerprint sensor located at the back side along with a 3,000mAh of battery with fast charging support. The device runs on Huawei's own Emotion UI running atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Connectivity option includes 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.

To be successful in Indian market Huawei have to price this device cheaper than that of UK where it costs 449 pounds (around ₹39,500).
