Back at MWC 2016, LG officially took wraps off its highly awaited G-series smartphone, the LG G5 which recently hit Indian shelves with a price tag of INR 52,990 ($790). And today LG launched this device in Taiwan with model number of LG-H858 and price tag of TWD 23,900 which if translate into around $740 at current exchange rates.
It’s the same version that’s available in most other regions around the globe, but doesn’t carry the standard “G5” moniker in Taiwan- it has been launched as “G5 Speed” instead and is currently exclusive to local carrier Chunghwa Telecom.
For those who don’t know LG G5 powers a 5.3-inch screen Quad HD IPS display (2560 x 1440 / 554ppi), Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Camera section includes an 8-megapixel front facing camera shooter and a dual-camera setup around the back. There’s a regular 16-megapixel camera, like its predecessor, along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (135-degree).
