India is the 2nd largest smartphone market in the world, and also the fastest growing one. We are seeing more and more India based companies get in the smartphone business, lately CREO introduced their first ever smartphone, the Mark 1, and now we have yet another on the same track.
Smartron is an Indian startup which today announced their first smartphone at an event in India. The device features includes : a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit Octa-core processor paired with 4gigs of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage.
Camera section includes a 13-megapixel rear camera snapper (6P lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) with dual-LED flash and a 4-megapixel front-facing snapper (f/2.0 aperture). On the back of the phone there’s a 3,000mAh of battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0. And the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
