Huawei P9 Vs Huawei P8: Comparison

Huawei P9

The Huawei P8 is one of the most impressive and fastest Android phone of 2015, and a sequel is almost inevitable. From past month rumors have been gathering around the successor to the very popular Huawei P8.

Until now we have seen number of rumors leaked pics, and specs.  Huawei is also teasing about it's upcoming P9 device, couple of days back Huawei through a twitter post  teased a GIF-style video reminding us that the launch event will take place on April 6.

Now atleast we have this much information to see how the Huawei P9 stack up against it's predecessor P8.

Design & Build: The P8 as we said above is one of the most impressive good-looking smartphone of 2015. The P9 is similarly flounce-free, but this time company has given great attention to details. The device will feature a all-metal body with a rounded rectangle fingerprint sensor on the rear side. And to make the charging faster, Huawei embed a USB Type-C port along with a speaker grill and headphone socket.

  • Huawei P9: 6.44mm thickness
  • Huawei P8: 144.9 x 72.1 x 6.4mm, 144g

Hardware: The huawei P8 is powered by Quad-core cortex A-53 processor (clocked at 2.0GHz and 1.5GHz). The chipset of this device is Mali-T628 MP4. The P8 is available in 2 storage options 16GB/64GB and there's also a microSD cart slot which is expandable up to 128GB. The processor of P8 is paired with 3 gigs of RAM.

In comparison to this the upcoming Huawei P9 powers a Octa-core Cortex-A72 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and Quad-Core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The chipset company used this time is HiSilicon Kirin 955. The device is rumored to be available in two storage options: 32GB/ 64GB. There will be two versions of this device one with 3 gigs of RAM and the other with 4 gigs of RAM.

Display: The Huawei P8 packs a 5.2-inch LCD display which delivers 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 424 pixels per pinch. We were expecting a 4K display time but Huawei hasn't clambered on that. The display is same as that we have seen in P8, it's a nice display albeit.

Camera: We all know that having a good phone camera means a great deal and whenever we go to buy a new smartphone we usually always see the smartphones camera and then we go on to see its features.

On the rear of P8 theres' a 13MP snapper which packs a dual-LED flash, it's a pretty decent camera. The P9 on the other hand is rumored to come with a 12MP dual camera sensor which we expect will deliver more DSLR-style images.
