Sony Xperia Z5 Premium

Sony Mobile Communication at IFA 2015 unveiled world’s first 4K smartphone Xperia Z5 Premium. It’s packed into 5.5 inch LCD display, 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution (801 ppi). But there’s a question, can a smartphone with 4K display and Snapdragon 810 processor  live upto an two days and an hour of battery life, this is what Sony claims.
Well, the Xperia Z5 Premium software was not set up to throttle the CPU to keep temperatures down. Sony engineers put the processor on pause when screen becomes activated, it will transfer CPU’s work to display module.

Sony Xperia Z5 premium runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop, with the Xperia UI skin and some pre-installed applications from Sony including: Music, Videos, What’s New, Facebook and 11 applications from Google. Company also embedded a radio antenna, now you will able to play FM radio easily.
Under the hood there’s a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.5 GH (a reduced clock rate) and 2GHz (operating frequency), along with an Adreno 430 GPU. and 3 GB of RAM. Device come with an 32GB internal storage, which is expandable upto 232 GB via microSD card.
Xperia Z5 Premium comes with a 3430mAh of battery and this device has a hungry 4K display, so how long does it gonna last? Earlier this we have seen Nexus 6 with 2K display and a battery of 3220 mAh which somehow manages a full day on one charge. And with double the resoultion we doubt that this premium device could manage a day on one charge
But Sony claims that Z5 premium once fully charged will live upto two days and an hour.

Here are some of it’s key features:

  • 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution (806ppi)
  • Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop), planned upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow)
  • Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57, Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 32 GB Storage
  • 23MP rear camera and 5.1MP front camera sensor
  • 3430 mAh battery

Price: $659.95
