Sony Xperia Z5

Sony officially announced it's Xperia Z5 on 2nd September at IFA 2015 and it's expected to hit the market in October. The device will be available in four different color variants: Graphite Black, Silver-White, Matt Gold and Fir Green.

Design: Sony hasn't made much changes in the design, it has kept it's traditional Omnibalance design language. But there's a new 'Xperia' stamp and the power button is now a small elongated pill shape, which houses a fingerprint scanner.

On the left-hand side of Z5, there's a stamped 'Xperia' logo and a microSD port and nano-SIM card slot. The right hand side has the power button ( fingerprint scanner). volume rocker and a shutter button. On the top edge of the phone you will see a pinhole microphone and headphone port.
Like it's predecessors, the back of the Xperia Z5 is all-glass, and there you will see a 23MP camera lens located in the top left hand corner with a single LED flash. On the front top, we have a proximity sensor, LED notification and a 5.1MP front-facing camera. There are dual stereo speakers located above and below the display screen.

Both the front and back camera use Sony's Exmor sensor.
Display: Sony Xperia Z5 powers the same 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos IPS LCD display as the other devices. Z5 has same resolutions (1920 x 1080 pixels) and pixel density (425 ppi) as we have seen in recent Xperia flagship's.

But Sony does unveil a Xperia Z5 Premium which has 4K display, this device is for those who need higher resolution than Full HD.

Features: Sony Xperia Z5 features include: Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with clock speed of 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (Xperia UI ), 32GB internal storage with microSD card slot and a 2,900 mAh of battery same as that of Xperia Z3+. It's connectivity option includes: HSPA, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1

Camera: In this new Xperia Z5 you will see an upgrade in camera section, as Z5 powers a 23MP Exmor sensor camera sensor. Since Xperia Z1, it's company's first completely re-imagined smartphone camera module designed with Sony’s interchangeable lens camera ╬▒TM technology for clear, vivid imagery every time.

The camera sensor embedded in Z5 has the fastest autofocus, a powerful blend of speed and accuracy to capture split-second moments with ease.

But there's a new 'Xperia' stamp and the power button is now a small elongated pill shape, which houses a fingerprint scanner. There's not much change in design, Sony has kept it's traditional Omnibalance design language, but if you considered new power button and Xperia stamp a  design change then that's a different matter.

Display: Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, world's first smartphone to power an Ultra-HD 4K display. It's packed into 5.5 inch LCD display, 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution (801 ppi). But there's a question, can a smartphone with 4K display and Snapdragon 810 processor  live upto an two days and an hour of battery life, this is what Sony claims.

Well, the Xperia Z5 Premium software was not set up to throttle the CPU to keep temperatures down. Sony engineers put the processor on pause when screen becomes activated, it will transfer CPU's work to display module.
Premium Features: Sony Xperia Z5 premium runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop, with the Xperia UI skin and some pre-installed applications from Sony including: Music, Videos, What's New, Facebook and 11 applications from Google. Company also embedded a radio antenna, now you will able to play FM radio easily.
Under the hood there's a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.5 GH (a reduced clock rate) and 2GHz (operating frequency), along with an Adreno 430 GPU. and 3 GB of RAM. Device come with an 32GB internal storage, which is expandable upto 232 GB via microSD card.

Premium Battery:

Xperia Z5 Premium comes with a 3430mAh of battery and this device has a hungry 4K display, so how long does it gonna last? Earlier this we have seen Nexus 6 with 2K display and a battery of 3220 mAh which somehow manages a full day on one charge. And with double the resoultion we doubt that this premium device could manage a day on one charge

But Sony claims that Z5 premium once fully charged will live upto two days and an hour. We will let you know does it stand that much time or not once we get our hands on phone.
