Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is Xiaomi’s first smartphone manufactured in India. After briefly being spotted on Amazon the new device has now officially launched and is priced at $110 (INR 6,999). You can buy this new device from Xiaomi’s online store.
The smartphone features a 4.7-inch IPS Sharp display, with 1280 X 720 pixels resolution, 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (MSM8916), Adreno 306 graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage (expandable upto 32GB via microSD card) and a 2200mAh of battery.
At the back of the phone there is a 8MP rear-facing camera shooter and on the front there is 2MP camera shooter. The phone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat based operating system with company’s MIUI 6.
Connectivity option of the device includes: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, and 3.5mm audio jack. There is no NFC in the phone.
