As per the latest reports from The Verge
suggests, Microsoft is planning to push Xbox Live to Android and iOS platforms.
This plan was first hinted by a recent Microsoft job listing, it says that: “We will create a modern framework that is open-source, lightweight, extensible, and scalable across various platforms including Windows Store, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android.” but this job posting now has been removed.
The company is striving to “win back” game developers by making the Xbox Live network easier to integrate into apps and games. Currently the Xbox Live developers must be receiving certification and permission from Microsoft but in future company might be giving up some of these restrictions.
Its also said that the company will be offering better tools for game developers to bring the Xbox Live to their games.
To develop a new platform Microsoft is currently hiring developers, while Google and Apple already had their own platform: Google Play Games service and Apple Game Center.
