Facebook Acquired Social Conversation Platform Branch For $15 Million

Facebook acquired Social conversation platform Branch for $15 million. Branch is a platform which provides the users a host to create and start conversations about anything and allow anyone to join. We got to know about this from Josh miller (co-founder of Branch) facebook post

GoTech/Branch Co-Founders
“We will be forming Facebook’s Conversations group, based in New York City, with the goal of helping people connect with others around their interests. Their pitch to us was: “Build Branch at Facebook scale!” Although the products we build will be reminiscent of Branch and Potluck, those services will live on outside of Facebook”– Josh Miller wrote this in the post.

No official announcement either from Facebook or from Branch about the amount money Facebook paid for the social conversation platform Branch has came yet.

The social conversation platform Branch was officially launched by Twitter in 2013, and in 2011 its beta version was released at that time it was known as Roundtable. And now after 2 years company has decided to be a part of Facebook family.
